Desperate need rent money, student loan money and medical money

I am in a bad situation, I am underemployed with two jobs, I only make enough to pay rent, utilities and gas for my old car that's always got something wrong with it.  I'm in constant fear that my car won't make it to its next destination.  I don't have any family to help me, I don't know what to do.  I don't spend money on frills like dining out, clothes medical prescription or doctors visits because I can't afford to.  I need help paying student loans.  They are threatening wage garnishment and I won't be able to afford to pay rent and I don't want to be homeless.  I don't know what to do.  I need help paying my student loans.

Hi Tiff,

I am in similar situation with a student loan that was $29000 back in 1999 at now is $67000. Thinking about this make me almost faint. I never had had a good job, always under $28000. I am no a doctor, lawyer or CEO that can dream of a 3 digit salary. Every time I called American Education Services, it is the same mechanical reply that gives no hope. Pretty soon I will be facing a serious delinquency and obviusly default. I'm paying $15 dolars a day in interest that add to about $ 460 a month. I hardly sleep. It is taking a toll on my health and affecting my relationship with everyone. I would be totally bankrupt pretty soon and the worst thing is that by the time I retire, part of social security would be garnished. The future is so dark. i have call them so many times and try to get loans to pay off the debt or settled but no one is listening or willing to help. I am no a winner but it is nor fair to push us to the buttom this way. I honestly want to pay but the whole finantial system is designed only for winners.... it is just tooo much... I dont know what to do or say to daughter.

Tiff i guess they will not be satisfied until they do make you HOMELESS I want to give you my 100% support and wish the best for you and hope you can get out of this whole mess ALL EDUCATION SHOULD BE FREE I would quit my jobs if they start STEALING your money and find something under the table and keep your money it is not thiers to make you HOMELESS
